Silverstone Classic debut for Falcon / Historic racing

Multiple saloon and sports car champion Mike Jordan is to race the CBT-backed Ford Falcon at the Silverstone Classic, it has been confirmed. Mike, father of reigning British Touring Car Champion Andy, will give the 450bhp machine its competitive debut in the Mustang Celebration Trophy races for pre-1966 FIA touring cars.

The Falcon has been developed over three years by Eurotech, without compromise using only the very best of components. The engine is a Peter Knight-built, ultimate-spec 289 FIA legal, with all the latest developments, and produces 450bhp.

Stuart Scott, who plans to race the Falcon later in the season, said: “We are delighted that the CBT-entered Falcon will be at the Silverstone Classic, and that it will have such a respected driver… I can’t wait to see it in action.”

Qualifying for the Mustang Celebration Trophy race is on Friday 25 July, and there will be 20-minute races on both the Saturday and the Sunday of the Classic weekend.
