After success with the Beetle, CBT Motorsport made the leap to Porsche racing for 1996. The team’s 944 Porsche was prepared by Paragon, sponsored by Scot Airways, and successfully contested the Pirelli Porsche Cup between ’96 and 2000, scoring numerous Class 3 race wins, pole positions and fastest laps. Most successful season was 2000, when Stuart scored three race wins on his way to championship second.

The 944, built in 1989 by Paragon, was powered by a 2.7-lite engine developing 165bhp and equipped with a standard Porsche gearbox, limited-slip differential, a Custom roll cage and Pirelli slick racing tyres.
