Falcon flies at Silverstone / Historic racing

The latest addition to the CBT Motorsport stable, the Eurotech-restored Ford Falcon, enjoyed a successful shakedown at Silverstone in late May. The 450bhp monster was driven by Mike Jordan, Steve Wood and Stuart Scott, who said: “It was really the first time that the Falcon had turned a wheel in anger and it ran absolutely faultlessly.”

Scott says he’s going to have to get in training to get the best from the 1960s Ford, which has been lovingly created by Eurotech Racing to contest European historic race events: “After my first 20-minute stint I came in and told Mike that I thought maybe the power steering pump had broken. I was a bit surprised when he told me it didn’t have power steering! I could certainly feel the hard work my arms had been doing afterwards.

“But the Falcon is beautiful and the preparation work fantastic, and we are looking forward to racing it. Hopefully we can get an entry for the Silverstone Classic Festival and give it its debut there.”
