Jordan & CBT ready for BTCC attack / British Touring Cars

CBT Motorsport’s Andy Jordan says he is looking forward to the coming British Touring car Championship season with his new MG challenger after a positive test day and season launch at Donington Park. “Coming back to Triple Eight has been great and I’ve enjoyed working with the team,” said Andy. “It’s a really positive place to be. I’m looking forward to getting the real stuff started in a week and a half at Brands; we had a test there a few weeks ago and I feel pretty confident about our chances there and over the course of the year. The MG was the fastest front-wheel-drive car last season and it looks like it will be a challenger again this year.”

Jordan ended the day at Donington in the top six overall, thwarted in his efforts to improve his pace by rain and hail in the final hour. “It’s been a good day, but I haven’t quite achieved what I wanted to,” said the 2013 champion. “Today we didn’t quite find the sweet spot, but we have a few more things to try and I think we’ll be ready for the race in a few weeks time.”

The new BTCC season gets underway at Brands Hatch at Easter, 4/5 April.
