CBT backs TV coverage for Tour Ireland / Tour Britannia

For the first time in the history of Tour Britannia, the action from this year’s event is to be filmed for an hour-long programme on Motors TV. Tour Ireland, the Irish edition of Tour Britannia taking place between 13 and 15 May, will be screened with the support of CBT and Vision Techniques.

The event will be filmed by Olly Dickinson and his team at OJD Media and, as well as the slot on Motors TV, the programme will be available via YouTube. All entrants will receive a complimentary copy of the programme on DVD. The TV coverage will feature both the competition and regularity competitors and will aim to capture the unique spirit and atmosphere of Britain’s only race and rally tour.

Tour Ireland starts and finishes in North Wales but will take in several Irish stages after a crossing by high-speed ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. The Irish leg includes spectacular closed road special stages in the Wicklow Mountains as well as a race at Mondello Park.

CBT’s Stewart Scott, who will tackle Tour Ireland with co-driver Steve Wood in the CBT Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro, said: “CBT is delighted to be able to support the organisers’ initiative to televise the Tour Ireland. We know from many years of Tour Britannia competition with the CBT Camaro that it is a hugely entertaining event and one which will make great television.”
